Baby Sitting, Twigs, and Spiders

Alrighty so last night I drove over to Cy's house to help him baby sit the little ones.

We made popcorn, and a fort, and watched Kung fu Panda!

Then before we were leaving their one black cat came up to me and I started petting it. Cy's Dad said that it was always very timid and never really came up to people (even him or Cyrus), so I felt kinda special that it would come up to me.

=)

After that I went home and pretty much went right to sleep.

Dad woke me up today and him, JJ and I went to Grandma's house (his mom's) to pick up some sticks in the yard. Then I climbed to the top of the tree in the front yard and texted Cyrus. While doing so I noticed that the branch I was sitting on was half rotten from the inside, and it was slowly cracking.

So what did I do?

Why, I waiting for Cyrus to reply, so then I could reply back, and then sat up there some more before finally coming down.

I'm not stupid...I just like sitting up really high in trees, even if the branch I'm sitting on is going to break and I'm going to fall and crack my neck.

I didn't get to drive to grandmas or back because we had to take my Dad's company car and he said it was too crowded on the highway.

I mean, the last time I was out on the highway there was hardly anyone. Plus, I was in my mom's car, which is okay to crash since we actually own that car, and not like my Dad's company car which the company owns and I'm not really allowed to drive at all.

Got back home, showered, watch The Ring 2, the fell asleep until Cyrus came over. We talked upstairs a bit before watching Spider Man. Part of the way through I wanted to go upstairs and watch the cop shoot the skunk in our yard.

He had a good shot, once in the head from our deck. Apparently he's a firearm instructor.

The back yard stinks though. XP

Cy and I finished the movie, and then he left.

Dad had built a fire upstairs so I sat by it for awhile before coming up here.

Tomorrow Mom wants to go to this train thing at the IX center, and I'm not just letting her go alone with JJ (I'm afraid something bad might happen, don't ask me why).

I am Typing This Post With One Hand...

Weekend has been okay I guess.

Fridays warm weather was great but of course it didn't last long.

Woke up to rain.

We took JJ to get his hair cut and while he was being attacked with scissors Dad took me to the park down the road and let me drive his company car. I like it, it drives really nice. =)

Went to Red Robbin for lunch after that, my first time eating there. It was good, I had a cheese burger.

My hand is sticky from the klondike bar... =/

Woke up to more rain. Actually slept till noon today. I forgot about the time change. =p

Watched the Disney version of the Hunchback of Notre Dame on yt and then part of The Ring.

I wanted to watch Mr. Brooks last night but they didn't have it... =/

Golf practice went well. While we were hitting it started raining super hard and it sounded really cool. =p

Cyrus came to visit after work!

He gave me a neck and shoulder massage! ^-^

Took a shower and then came online for a bit. Now I should be off to bed!

Today Cy and I saw Grand Torino. He wasn't offended by the racist comments so that was good. =p

It was nice seeing it again. =)

Went back to his house and ate dinner there. Played Rock Band. When Cyrus gave me the mic to sing I pushed it away because I was too nervous. But I sung along to some songs. I don't think anyone heard me though, which is fine.

Cy and I then watched Mr. Bean. That movie was too funny. =p

Got home and had a talk with my mother before heading into the living room where my Dad had started a fire (in the fireplace).

It was really warm and so fun to watch. I'm always so captivated by the dancing flames in the fireplace. So beautiful, yet so dangerous. I love it.

JJ and Nick pulled me into the guest room and wanted to know about...health... *cough*

Going to make cookies, and then drive to the park with my Dad, we're going to take a hike in the woods

Lemon pepper chicken for dinner too! My most and always favorite dinner. Ever.

Listening to Arms Of The Angels by Sarah McLaughlan. It always makes me want to cry, it's such a pretty song and her voice is so beautiful.

Spirit Week

It has finally ended with Nordonia Day. The school was basically a sea of green, white, and black.

Physics we had another lab today, we weren't very silly though today.

Math I we got our tests back, I got a B! =D

Delivered a pass to Mr. Cash's class today...man I miss that class...he was such a jerk, I loved it. I think it's because he's really just a nice guy though.

Spanish we learned about demonstrative adjectives.

History class we took the test, even with lack of notes. I thought it was easy though *knock on wood* but a lot of other people kept on saying that they think they failed it.

I know I got one question right at least!

The Supreme Court one! I asked Cyrus after the test. =p

English I played upside down tetris then I donated rice.

Got home, showered, then watched some TV with Mom. Cyrus came over then and we watch Indian Jones. =)

If the weather is good I'll be going to Jess's party tomorrow!

While in the office with Jess I was like "Hmm...I feel like it's going to be Dunker Day today..." and she looked at the menu and it was!

Mwuahahahahahahahaha.

Now to train and make myself able to poof dunkers out of thin air...

They're so good....

Spanish class we played a fun new game called Avlancha. Our team lost...but it's okay...the other team didn't get candy anyways. =p

History I spent most of my time taking notes. I got most of section 2 done. I only had a page left. I don't think there was much on it though. Mostly just repeated information from the previous section and how Roosevelt punched his enemies in the face by fixing their problems and getting re-elected.

English I went in, failed another vocab test, then we went to the IMC lab.

Got home and went to finish my history notes but the online book site wasn't working. It told me to check back later.

So then I worked on Spanish homework and kept checking the online book site and fell asleep. Woke up around 7 (2 hour nap, yippee! -_-) and checked the site again, still not working.

Then it occurred to me that Mr. Johansson's website has power point notes on it from class. So I go onto the site and in big letters it said "ERROR SITE NOT FOUND"

At a glace I could have sworn it said "ERROR, YOU ARE NOW FUCKED" but then I took a closer look.

*headdesk*

I got most of the notes though....and copied down some of the stuff from the handouts to another piece of paper.

Watched Bones with my mom, and then we went outside in the garage to talk. In the end, we came back into the house laughing so hard we were literally crying. It was great. =D

Tomorrow Marks A Special Occasion

Friday the 13th is the1 year anniversary of my blog.

Last night I woke up at 1 in the morning after having a dream that the power was out at my house. The dream was so realistic, that when I went to go to the bathroom and then get a glass of water (makes no sense I know) I used a flashlight. Then as I was coming back to my room, I tripped on the cat and got so angry I turned on the light in my room to find him and was like "Oh."

Physics we watched a Myth Busters. I don't really like that show so I kinda fell asleep.

Math we reviewed, people asked the same questions and Mr. Lawrence answered all of them. He yelled at everyone in the end to study though and that he won't be doing that anymore.

So many passes today, didn't have time to study for Spanish, but that's okay because I knew everything anyways.

Delivered some to Mr. J, he was like o.o "Whoa, what are you doing here delivering passes?!"

Spanish the test was easy as pie, and I like pie so that's twice as good. =p

History we reviewed over the test.

Art Cy and I were sillies. =p

English class was boring, Ryan and I had fun with sticky notes. We'd write something on them and stick them to our heads and we had a whole conversation. =p

Came home, played some more horrible games of pool and then Devvy Chan and I fell asleep on the couch in the basement.

Went shopping after dinner.

Got your Valentines Day treats (finally =p).

Put them all together, so they're ready to rock and roll tomorrow!

Got all my homework done.

Slept in until 12 today. Once again I thought my Dad had died or something for not yelling at me at how late in the day it was.

Worked out and then read some more of The Bell Jar until he came over.

We went and rented Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist and made some popcorn. =D

After that we played hide and seek upstairs.

I hid behind the lazy boy chair and he couldn't find me for a long time. My Dad was sitting in it while I was behind it and Cyrus was like "Um...can I have a clue?"

My Dad only told him I was on the first floor and then he went off into the dining room I think and I heard him go "Could she fit in here...?" and my Dad and I started laughing hysterically. =p

That's about it.

Golf tomorrow and stuffs.

Hmmm...I'm feelin' like eating a Klondike Bar right now...

Mom left at 10:30 to get her nails done today. Dad only lasted a half hour before coming to wake me up to go do something.

He's just so bored all the time because he can't do much with is shoulder. =/

When I came downstairs he had 98.5 blasting so we jammed out to some great tunes.

I learned something interesting today.

You guys know the song Mellow Yellow by Donovan?

Apparently it's about a woman and her vibrator (which is Mellow Yellow).

Cyrus came around 12:45 and we went to the library to see off one of the librarians who was retiring.

They had cake. =)

Next we were gong to Valley View Theater to go see the movie Mall Cop.

At first we didn't think we would make it so we pulled back into my house on the way to see the next time (Dad was like wtf... =p).

Turn out Cyrus had the time wrong, we had 10 extra minutes.

=)

Movie was funny, we both enjoyed it.

Next we went to a drug mart to buy batteries for the hand thing I got for his car (where you put it in your back window and it makes different gestures. =p).

Pulled into a cemetery to install it (hey, we didn't want to have people stair at us in the parking lost so we chose a quite spot).

Turns out you needed a mini screw driver to open up the part to put the batteries. We tried to improvise. Pencils, keys, paper clip. No results.

After a bit we went to his house and we ate dinner and watched the little ones while his parents went out.

They made me my own Wii character and we did boxing, tennis, baseball, and golf. Then we did a little Wii fit.

I weighed myself too. Apparently I'm 99.6 pounds! I've gained a lot of weight over the winter. =/

When I got home I did my Valley Voyages stuff and caught up on the VV blog.

Now all I need to do is catch up on my missed tweets, and blog posites.

I Am So Tired...

VV was awesome today.

Hung out with Cy, Lienne, and Jeff for the day.

Before we were on our way we discussed our big projects. I think I have an idea for mine. I like it mostly because I can attack random people in the park and interview them. =D

My idea:

Akron and Cleveland seem to be depending much on their ecotourism. Obviousely it's doing a great job...

Anyways, I'm basically going to try and solve that by finding better ways to promote this. What will bring more people to the parks or, what keeps bringing people back that we can maybe even expand or improve? Things like that.

It's basically the genteral idea.

I dunno, it sounds good right now. Mom liked it. Dad will like taking me to the park too.

Attacking radom people FTW. =p

Moving on!

Went to the Western Reserve Historical Society.

The beginning tour was really...boring....

And the photographer lady, which I'm guessing was from the Akron Journal (since Mr. Downing said that there would be one there next trip), was annoying.

Ugh I remember that one photographer guy at golf...

I'm freaking putting and all I hear is CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK!!

Rude.

Anyways, Cy, Lienne, Jeff and I went to the botanical gardens to eat lunch before heading back.

Cy and Lienne had a snowball fight, then we started pushing each other in the snow. =p

I'll be honest, I didn't really learn anything, we kinda just messed around most of the time. The cars were really interesting though.

I dunno why but I've always had this thing for old cars.

When I got home Dad wanted JJ and I to go up on the roof and knock the snow down away from the chimney because it was leaking into the basement.

While my Dad got up there to do some stuff (yes, there is no taking it easy for this one armed man, let me tell you...) JJ and I started having a snowball fight and pushing each other into the snow.

Then we threw snowballs at my Dad's head. =p

After that Dad wanted us to shovel the slush off the driveway before it turned into ice. In the end, it really never got done because JJ and I continued our sillies in the snow. =p

It was really good snow too, packed together really well.

JJ and I kicked some at each other and I got some in my nose. =p

Went inside the garage to take our wet clothes off. I took off my wet jeans and took the towel we use to dry the dog off and wrapped it around my waist. When I walked into the house my Mom was like "....Um...isn't that the...never mind..."

=p

Tried to call Gioninos but that dreaded BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP kept happening every time I called, so I got Pizza Hut instead.

Which is fine too, I love their cheesy crust.

Dan and Gary are over right now. Dad is sad he can't kick their asses in pool since he's only got one arm.

Poor Dad, I'll guess I'll have to play for him! =p

One of my favorite CSI episodes came on, so I was excited.

Talked with Cy a bit on the phone.

Methinks I'm going to catch up on my Vampire Knight episodes. Believe I'm almost done with the serise.

Watched my Silent video again...

I'm thinking of re-doing is but the timing is so perfect on this one...

Actually, there as a few different viruses on the home computer now, at least that's what the spy sweeper says.

Personally, I think this is much worse than the one he got on it last summer. Anyone remember that?

The Porn-o Vi?

The background turned into a picture of some brunette with big tits, the icons turned into dildos, fuzzy handcuffs and various other sex toys, and every time you would type anything into a search engine porn would come up for the entire search. The ENTIRE search.

I was afraid to turn the sound on in case the computer would stop beeping when something was wrong and moan or something instead.

How did he get this on our computer?

I don't wanna know.

Geometry exam today. I think I passed....

Art exam I colored. Bleh. I was tempted to color out of the lines.

I love how doing that seriously pisses some people off. =p

Cy drove me home and I made him and Mom lunch!

Mom and I dunno if we have a pound of milk chocolate, but we're hoping we'll find enough Hershey's bars. =p

Why am I up this late when I have an exam tomorrow?

Today I spent most of my time trying to study for my English exam. My efforts failed when I suddenly felt sick and fell asleep for a few hours.

When I woke up I played another mission on James Bond Everything Or Nothing because I was bored, and then got dressed to go to Cy's house.

Today was the day our parents were going to meet (Cy's idea).

Dad was late because the furnace broke at his parents house (who are in FL right now) and it was 26 degrees inside.

Not good.

In the end when Cy, JJ, and I emerged from the basement to get cookies he was there. The parents seemed to be getting alone quite nicely. I think Cy's Mom thought mine was a hoot (since she was laughing quite hard at my Mom's sarcasm and jokes).

=p

After the cookies Cyrus and I went into the kitchen and I got some milk. When we were walking back to the dining room he stepped back and bumped into me which in result, cause me to spill most of the glass of milk on my shirt and on the floor.

We went upstairs and I borrowed one of his sweaters. I'm still wearing it now. =p

Hey, what can I say, it's warm and it smells good. =D

Got home and asked my mom (along with flashing Bambi eyes) if I could sleep in tomorrow and come to school around 11:30.

I hadn't finished studying for my English exam and needed to stay up late.

In the end she agreed.

Life's A Bitch And Then Ya Die

I dedicate this blog postie title to Cy, who really has the right to say that.

Slept in until 10 and then listened to Melvin until 11:30ish.

Came downstairs and JJ was glued to the XBox he bought yesterday. He was playing Halo 3.

He let me play for a few minutes and drive this weird hover thing. I tried to shoot this one bad guy but I missed, so then I shot this other dude. Apparently he was on my side...whoops.

Then I backed into another one of my guys.

JJ says I can't play anymore. =p

Was all cool and finally got out the PS2 and played James Bond Everything Or Nothing on hard and beat it.

Then I moved onto ATV Off Road Fury 2.

I like driving around and doing cool stunts. =p

Cy called me and apparently him, Jeff, and one of his friends that was moving away tomorrow were all sitting in the parking lot at the Bakery. Apparently his transmission went patooey and just died.

My Dad offered to drive me to his house and then him and I went up to his room and watched the 2nd season of 24.

His little brothers kept attacking us. =p

When his Dad came home he gave me a hug. I felt so loved! ^-^

His Dad asked me how I got there and I told him my Dad drove me. He said that my Dad must have been praying to get me out of the house. =p

Watched some more 24, and then Cy drove his Nana's van to my house to drop me off.

IT WAS SO COLD IN THERE. o.o

It was parked outside so that's why. You could see your breath. Which brought me to tell the story of the old lady who thought I was smoking on the bus in Middle School when I was really just sucking on a sucker. =p

When I was dropped off I went down in the basement with my Dad and his buddies and watched them play pool. Gary let me shoot for him a few times! =D

A bit later Cy called, apparently the battery on the car died in the middle of 82 by Best Buy. So he had to push it out of the way a bit and stand out in the cold to wait for his Dad to come so they could push it back to the parking lot.

Poor Cy. =/

Gold was okay today. I got a blister on my pinky though and then it popped so Dad got me a band aid. Thing was, it was really huge.

So when I got home I put a Hello Kitty band aid on. ^-^

Cleaned my room a bit...

I should stop throwing my clothes on the floor and just hang them up...

Actually...we could there for history class! We learned about the assembly line! Sure it was with cars, but cars and doughnuts? Not very different. And it could show how Ford's idea of the assembly line affected a variety of businesses!

English class we watched Home Improvement!

Went home and called Mr.Downing again, he was busy so I gave him the house phone so he could call me back since mom was better.

She started feeling better around 3:30 and walked out into the family room where I was sitting.

She told me that I looked grumpy and to smile and I told her that it was 3:30 and I had school in like, 6 hours.

But she didn't care.

She told me that she would make me smile by showing me a magic trick.

Cy called and said that he had his senior pictures and asked if he could bring them over so I could see them.

Right as he was coming up the driveway Mr. Downing called and I had my interview.

When he asked how to spell my name I almost spelled it A-S-H-L-E-T not A-S-H-L-E-Y.

Cy calls me that all the time, Ashlet.

I blame him.

Went to be early last night, 10:45. I guess I got too much sleep because I was very tired all day today.

PE we played sideline soccer.

Let me tell you...I can't play soccer...no soccer skillz whatsoever.

I had a chance to make a goal and when I kicked the ball it curved and went into the trash can!

Player of the month award goes to: Trash Can.

*sigh*

At least I tried, our team lost because most of it just stood around and watched the ball roll over their feet. Not to mention the goalies would jump out of the way of the ball.

Come one, it doesn't hurt that much to get hit in the face, and besides, use your hands to protect it but for goodness sake toughen up gals!

Dunker day today!

I wasn't feeling too good so I guess I shouldn't have eaten 4 dunkers AND a cookie.

History class Mr. Loman came in and gave me a business card from a guy named Bob Downing who was a writer from the Akron Beacon Journal. Apparently he wanted to interview some students in Valley Voyages and if I wanted to, call him for an interview.

Art class I finished my drawing, will go on to the next step tomorrow.

English was okay I guess.

Went over to Cy's house and we had a 'homework party.'

Spent most of my time getting my physics, math, and history homework done. Then he had to take me home.

Was supossed to go to that CVCC meeting but Mom is really sick and Dad has a supplyer coming over.

Fought with my mom to stay in bed then finished taking down the tree. Made some grilled cheese, and then helped my mom a bit more.

Suddenly remembered around 6:30 I needed to call Mr. Downing but I couldn't reach him so I left a message saying that if he still wants in interview I would call him after school tomorrow.

I didn't want to give him the house number because I didn't want anyone calling and making my mom's head pound even more.

My cell phone wasn't an option because of the horrible reception at my house and I didn't want to risk losing the call.

*sigh*

Mr. Loman said that he wanted to intervew some other students, so hopefully Mr. Downing got to interview them.

=/

Last CSI episode with Gil Grissom starts at 9. I shall watch it and take care of my mother.

English Fun

Average day during school today.

Until I got to English.

We were picking our authors for our research paper. First though we had to pick a number out of a hat, and whoever had number one would pick first, then number 2, number 3 and so on and so forth.

Well, Vad (I dunno how to spell his name...so I shall shorten it! =p) picked out number one and Max went up to him and said he would pay him 15 bucks if he would trade with him. So that's just what happened.

And, when it came time to pick the authors, Max jumped up and shouted "Dr. Seuss!"

Then the teacher replied "We're doing American authors, he's British."

xD

Vad gave him $5 back out of pity.

But still he lost 10 bucks xD

You should have seen his face too...priceless.

Then Mrs. Newcomer told us about the red neck wedding she went to.

Very interesting story...

Cyrus came over to visit today!

I was so happy! ^-^

Mom made her famous spaghetti sauce and meatballs for dinner.

Mmmmmm...it was so good...

Now I want some more...

While I was working out today I was also doing my math homework in between sets. When I was doing my leg lifts my Dad thought it would be funny to throw darts at my math homework...

There are many holes in it now...

If my coach asks I'm telling him the truth...

Then he can give my Dad a detention or something. =p

"It Go Beep!"

That's what I say when the oven beeps, and it beeped a lot today.

Cy came over around 12:30 and we started baking cookies!

There was hardly any flower in the one bag so we tried to pour it into the cup and Cy hit it the wrong way and it went POOF and got everywhere. =p

The cookies turned out good though.

Then we made a blackberry pie (I was wrong when I said blueberry in my last post, whoopsies).

Hung out on the couch while the pie baked then we went to subway for lunch.

Brought the goodies to Grammy's house and then talked and ate.

Got home around 7:30 and we watched a little TV before he had to go home.

School in a day...

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.

Had lots of fun with Cyrus tonight.

We watched Fantastic Four and then ate pizza and fell asleep together on the couch in the living room. =p

Tomorrow we're going to bake something for my Grammy and then visit her! =D

I'm thinking we should bake cookies, and maybe a blueberry pie (even though I don't like blueberries but she does).

Feel kinda weird....school is almost here... =(
